Description
As a painter/calligrapher, I enjoy creating fluid strokes on a soft, wet background. I feel this painting represents the elegance of the lotus or pond lily. The lotus is a symbol of enlightenment. While it is rooted in mud, it open to the light. I enjoy meditating on this image, knowing its meaning.
The flower is gorgeous, opening to the Light, while its roots are sunk in mud. While rooted to the earth, one can always be open to the Light, the Invisible Energy. It's this loving energy that empowers us.
This painting was originally created as a unique digital image by me on a Microsoft Surface Studio tablet. It is a signed and numbered image in a Limited Edition of 50. The notation, “4/50” means that it is the fourth print of only 50 in existence.
