Artist's Description
I enjoy the attention to detail in this pen-and-ink drawing. The lines of the old barn have become organic, bowing to the weight of the years. By allowing the white background flow into the subject, I have married it to the paper.
This barn will have to wait forever to unload its grain onto any waiting truck!

Since opening Jacqueline Originals in 1971, I have spent most every day in creative activities. I love to draw, paint, do calligraphy and any combination of these skills! Recently, I have added digital painting to my list, spending hours in my studio now that I'm retired from a lifetime of teaching art. I own a Microsoft Surface Studio tablet which allows me to draw/paint directly on the surface and see the results immediately. I can also use these images as underpaintings for my acrylic creativity. I had a fifty-year retrospective exhibit in 2018 to celebrate my 80th birthday.
