This painting was originally created as a unique digital image by me on a Microsoft Surface Studio tablet. It is a signed and numbered image in a Limited Edition of 50. The notation, “1/50” means that it is the first print of only 50in existence. I love the symbolism of the Tree of Life, ever ancient, ever new. This is my drawing/painting featuring a rainbow of colors. The rainbow is a symbol of hope, while the myriad of colors signify our energy centers, or portals in the human energy field called chakras by the ancient Eastern Indians. I enclosed it in a circle because of its mystical meaning of no beginning, no end. The Tree of Life is an ancient symbol of life in many cultures denoting ancestry, spirit, energy, history, and reaching to the heavens. Since opening Jacqueline Originals in 1971, I have spent most every day in creative activities. I love to draw, paint, do calligraphy and any combination of these skills! Recently, I have added digital painting to my list, spending hours in my studio now that I'm retired from a lifetime of teaching art. I own a Microsoft Surface Studio tablet which allows me to draw/paint directly on the surface and see the results immediately. I can also use these images as underpaintings for my acrylic creativity.
