Spring is my favorite season, with new plants poking out of the hard earth. Green is the color of healing, which is what the new shoots celebrate after the frozen winter. How could anything grow and blossom from the desolation of months of snow? Since the original of this painting has been sold, this is a signed and numbered image of a limited edition of fifty. 3/50.
Since opening Jacqueline Originals in 1971, I have spent most every day in creative activities. I love to draw, paint, do calligraphy and any combination of these skills! Recently, I have added digital painting to my list, spending hours in my studio now that I'm retired from a lifetime of teaching art. I own a Microsoft Surface Studio tablet which allows me to draw/paint directly on the surface and see the results immediately. I can also use these images as underpaintings for my acrylic creativity. I had a fifty-year retrospective exhibit in 2018 to celebrate my 80th birthday.
