I love the total image of the tree from roots to branches and how they reflect one another's reach for energy; one, to the sky, and the other, to the earth. The ancient saying referring to the non-physical world is "As above, so below". This is also another of my versions of the Tree of Life, filled with energy and beauty, top to bottom. Since opening Jacqueline Originals in 1971, I have spent most every day in creative activities. I love to draw, paint, do calligraphy and any combination of these skills! Recently, I have added digital painting to my list, spending hours in my studio now that I'm retired from a lifetime of teaching art. I own a Microsoft Surface Studio tablet which allows me to draw/paint directly on the surface and see the results immediately. I can also use these images as underpaintings for my acrylic creativity. I had a fifty-year retrospective exhibit in 2018 to celebrate my 80th birthday. My day starts with quiet time in meditation; I find that my mind is inundated with creative thoughts and ideas, so I need some time to get centered. I have...
