If you want an elegant, meaningful gift for a Jewish couple, my unique design features my hand-painted rose, classic symbol of love, joined with the Star of David, symbol of Jewish heritage. This purposeful combination reveals the Hebrew culture of the importance of the love of family as well as that of the parents for each other.The famous love quote was spoken by Solomon. I created the rich blue-green background by interweaving hand-painted sections of acrylic painting on cotton rag paper. This is truly a work of art!
Since opening Jacqueline Originals in 1971, I have spent most every day in creative activities. I love to draw, paint, do calligraphy and any combination of these skills! Recently, I have added digital painting to my list, spending hours in my studio now that I'm retired from a lifetime of teaching art. I own a Microsoft Surface Studio tablet which allows me to draw/paint directly on the surface and see the results immediately. I can also use these images as underpaintings for my acrylic creativity.
