This beautiful prayer summarizes the happiest life of the spirit.The requests are full of contrasts: hatred, love; doubt, faith; darkness, light. The person chooses positive action, not reaction to others This is not the prayer of a weak soul, but someone who actively seeks peace through positive choices.
I have hand lettered it in an Italic Renaissance style, hand drawn and painted the ornamentation. Pope Francis loves this classic prayer of his favorite monk.

Since opening Jacqueline Originals in 1971, I have spent most every day in creative activities. I love to draw, paint, do calligraphy and any combination of these skills! Recently, I have added digital painting to my list, spending hours in my studio now that I'm retired from a lifetime of teaching art. I own a Microsoft Surface Studio tablet which allows me to draw/paint directly on the surface and see the results immediately. I can also use these images as underpaintings for my acrylic creativity. I had a fifty-year retrospective exhibit in 2018 to celebrate my 80th birthday.
