A digital painting created on my Cintiq (a 16" x 20" interactive tablet connected to my computer) is just as vibrant as if I used my paint and brushes! I created twenty different layers of shapes and colors, which give the feeling of a puzzle with lots of interlocking pieces, but still reveals a unique view of our beautiful Rocky Mountains.

Since opening Jacqueline Originals in 1971, I have spent most every day in creative activities. I love to draw, paint, do calligraphy and any combination of these skills! Recently, I have added digital painting to my list, spending hours in my studio now that I'm retired from a lifetime of teaching art. I own a Microsoft Surface Studio tablet which allows me to draw/paint directly on the surface and see the results immediately. I can also use these images as underpaintings for my acrylic creativity.
